poll on format changes

AsiaPundit is considering discontinuing the almost-daily link roundups in favor of a series of short-posts. The key reason for this is because feedburner is unable to handle the larger more graphic-heavy posts that have been common here.

A question for regulars: would you prefer a less-graphic roundup or a short-post structure?

short posts please. also maybe a mix of short link-centric posts and longer analysis/roundup pieces.

Yes, the above comment by joon covers my own feelings pretty well.

I do like all the links to other blogs - a sort of expanded SW Daily Linklets. If the graphics have got to go then it’s not too much of a loss I suppose.

Are you having some kind of trouble getting FeedBurner to work for you? Let me know by posting a response here (or email and we’ll help you get everything worked out.

I like Asiapundit for the text, and would prefer if the graphics were dropped. I don’t use them, anyway. At work I browse using FF with images turned off — wouldn’t want coworkers to see pix of SPG or whoever while walking by the cube!

What do you mean short? Like a screenful or so, as opposed to the post just below this one?

I think they’re easier to digest, and to keep one topic-per-post is probably a good idea, even if you do an occasional long analysis.

On the post below (previous to) this, I completely lost the train of thought, and thus lost interest, well before getting to the bottom.

I’m a fan of the short posts. The digests have been great for discovering stuff, but it’s hard for us post-modern, short attention span types to stick with the whole thing. And it makes it harder for us to pick out the things that might be most interesting to us, which would be easier with more headlines.
